Check the power cable is properly inserted
There are two charging ports on the device, check the power cable in the second port. To see if the chromebook is charging look for the LED indicator on the left of the device, if the LED is orange then it is charging, if it is white then it is fully charged.
Check the power cable is intact, if there is any damage to the power cable it will not charge.
